We look forward to seeing you and your gymnasts at the 18th Anniversary of the Spirit of the Flame Challenge on Friday, February 26 through Sunday, February 28, at the beautiful San Jose Convention Center.
Fun for everyone.
We will have welcome bags, a separate Coaches’ area, food, and snacks. It’s a great competition for the gymnasts and fun for the whole family, including a Kids’ Fun Zone for youngsters, a fun photo backdrop, and vendors and raffle prizes.
Register before it’s too late.
Last year we filled up quickly and had a waiting list by October. Registering early also saves on entry fees with our early bird discounts. Register here.
Make travel arrangements early.
Last year, our primary host hotel sold out in December! The first sessions will start at 8:00 am Friday morning and the last sessions will end around 8:00 pm Sunday. Your session assignments will become available just a few weeks before the meet.
Plan for traffic on meet day.
If you’re not familiar with the area, please note that Bay Area traffic can be difficult. Check our transportation info and be sure to leave yourself enough time to be ready and on-site before each session.
Explore nearby attractions.
We’re fortunate to have a venue so close to many attractions: the Silicon Valley, San Jose, San Francisco, Santa Cruz beaches and more. We hope that your team and their families will have an enjoyable weekend exploring the area — when not competing or cheering on teammates!
Let your parents know they can celebrate their gymnast or the whole team with a Good Luck ad in our souvenir program. Programs are distributed for free at the meet. Follow the Spirit of the Flame Challenge on Facebook.
Share Your Photos
If you attended the meet last year, we’d love it if you’d share some of your personal photos from the meet or other fun with your team that weekend on our page.
Your friends and hosts,
Abra Slater & the Spirit of the Flame Team
